The state of apps 2015

Thursday 11 June 2015

Our Speakers

Brian Fegan , AKQA

Blurring the lines

The popularity of JavaScript continues to grow, and browsers continue to release standards-based APIs which leverage device hardware. In this session, AKQA’s Associate Director of Creative Development will discuss how it’s becoming increasingly difficult to determine the differences between native, web and hybrid apps.

Matt McRoberts & Spencer Burke , AppBoy

Engineering engagement

This session provides insight into how to move beyond the download and guide app consumers from initial acquisition into an ongoing dialogue; enabling engagement at an individual level.

Kenny Lin , AKQA

Instant app distribution

In this session, we'll explore how AKQA is using a hybrid shell as an app distribution platform; something that can only be accomplished with a hybrid app. Senior Creative Developer Kenny Lin will demonstrate how to leverage a CMS, a hybrid app shell, and web sockets to push instant UI and content updates to multiple devices.
