Building a responsive car configurator with AngularJS

Last year, AKQA helped MINI launch a new online car configurator featuring a fully responsive design, built on the AngularJS MVW (Model-View-Whatever) framework. This allowed users to customise and configure their ideal MINI with an appropriate UI on any device, choosing colours, interior & exterior features, and add-on equipment across 100 different models. Join Andi Smith, AKQA’s Senior Architect of Web Technologies, as he shares his experience building this car configurator and the lessons learned in building a complex web application in under six months.

Aaron Tunney & Emile Swain , AKQA

Creating wrist-based automotive apps for Apple Watch

In this talk, Aaron Tunney and Emile Swain of AKQA’s R&D team introduce us to WatchKit, the development toolkit for Apple Watch, explaining its innovations and limitations in the context of designing and building a prototype automotive app to be worn on the wrist.
