The Internet of Decentralised Things
Gartner predicts there will be more than 20 billion connected devices by 2020, with smaller, more efficient sensors and microprocessors offering the potential for use cases of which we can barely dream today. Blockchains - the technology that underpins digital currencies such as Bitcoin, can provide the networks that will allow these devices to exchange trusted data and transact with each other without human intervention. Hype or reality? We'll describe some of the current IoT-blockchain implementations and find out.

Powering the decentral Web 3.0 – How trust-free technologies will alter our lives online.
A recent development has provided us with a new computing paradigm: the blockchain, as the first example of a computer that has the functionality to remember and enforce past statements by participants, in a non-localised, resilient and auditable manner. This talk provides an explanation on what this new class of technology enables and will briefly discuss what this means for the traditional bearer-value system going on to explore how having a ubiquitous trustless computation platform impacts other human activities.
